Rumah Interiors has been elevating spaces across the globe for over 5 years, and our award-winning designers are driven by a state of constant creative curiosity.
Our approach is dynamic and thorough. We take the time to understand our clients’ needs and appreciate that all preferences are unique - a product of one’s needs and even their upbringing.
Regardless of the size or scale of the project, we take you through our 5-stage design process to ensure that we have met both the functional and aesthetic goals of your space. We understand it takes a village to bring a home to life, and thrive off continually building on a strong network of connections with our industry peers, suppliers and contractors, who play an important role in the realisation of your dream space.

Our services

Full Service Package
This is our traditional services package, where we handle the entire project from concept to completion. We take care of technically heavy design changes for renovations and new builds - through to the final touches.

E-design
A great option for both rental and owned properties, where you are not looking and making major civil or structural changes to the property. We will provide you with everything you need to be able to execute the design at your leisure.

Design Concierge
Our hourly design concierge support is offered in 2, 5, and 10-hour packages. This service is flexible and can include in-person or virtual support in order to cater most appropriately to your specific needs and lifestyle.
Founder + Design director
Sonal Kotecha
Sonal Kotecha earned her Bachelor’s degree in Interior Architecture & Design from Nottingham Trent University, UK in 2007. Shortly after graduating, fate led her on a one-way ticket to Dubai, where she built up experience working both as an in-house designer for a property developer and a multi-disciplinary interior design studio, before taking the plunge into entrepreneurship and starting Rumah Interiors in 2017.
She calls herself a child of the world – after growing up as a second generation Indian in the United Kingdom, to parents born and raised in Kenya – she moved and set up her own home base in Dubai in 2010 and credits this diverse background which has allowed her to connect on a deeper level to people & clients from all over the world.
Sonal loves getting to know her clients on a meaningful level, creating design concepts and crafting the narrative behind their interior space. Her personal design aesthetic is heavily inspired by her travels - and feels like part of her heart is in Bali, where she named Rumah Interiors. She takes great pride in spreading a little of the magic and creative inspiration from there into all of the projects she works on.
